Ashtanga Yoga Retreat in Costa Rica
March 1st to 14th, 2010 or March 15th to 28th, 2010
Join us in the beautiful Costa Rican rainforest, for a relaxing Ashtanga Yoga Holiday. Immerse deeply in the Ashtanga Yoga practice in this Yoga Retreat with Caroline Klebl.
Ashtanga Yoga is an effective method of yoga practice, which is designed to restore the body to a radiant state of health. The Ashtanga practice includes yoga postures as well as vinyasa(specific movements initiated by the breath, which connect one posture to the next). The practice develops internal heat, which purifies the body and nadies(the energy channels, which underlie the physical form). Stress reduction, excess weight loss, and a general sense of well-being are natural side effects of yoga practice.
The retreat will include daily Ashtanga Yoga practice. The principles of Mulah Bandha(the root lock), Drishti(the gaze) and Oujaii Pranayama(the sound induced breath) will be applied throughout the postures and vinyasa. Morning meditation and an afternoon restorative asana practice will also be offered throughout the retreat.
This retreat is open to all levels of yoga practitioners.
